OUR NEW CHURCH!!!
We interviewed, we preached (well, Tim preached), we were voted on, and we accepted. Tim is going to be the new Sr. Pastor of Olivet Wesleyan Church, Fredericton, NB.
You can visit the church at www.olivetwesleyan.ca
Details:
The church is over 100 years old
It is multi-generational with a great mix of children, youth, young adults, boomers, and seniors (mature adults)
They recently renovated the sanctuary. It is very contemporary yet respectful of the past. It's a mix of very modern elements with some traditional features. The lighting, sound and media equipment is incredible
I know quite a few people in the church. I knew 6 of the 10 board members.
The Youth Pastor, Mark Brewer, is going to stay on staff. He's got an excellent youth ministry happening. He is married (Liz) and they have two little girls, Emily and Abbie
The church has gone through a fair bit of change and transition over the past few years, and they feel as though the time is right to move forward.
There are around 220-240 people there
We are really excited, and we look forward to getting there as soon as possible. Hopefully sometime in June. If anyone wants to buy a hoouse in Indiana, let us know ;-)

How Long Did It Take To Make this Mural?
Well, let me tell you...
"Several nights searching the internet looking for the right pictures.
A couple of days to figure out which pictures to use.
A quick buzz into Menard's and Lowe's for paint, tape, and a few new brushes.
Three or four days of drawing, erasing, and colouring.
One trip to the bank to pay for art supplies.
Many years of gaining knowledge of art through classes and lessons, while working and being a Mom and Wife.
More than a quarter century of doodling, taking lessons, being mentored, looking, seeing, drawing, drawing, drawing, hoping, doubting, colouring, dreaming, and believing.
A lifetime of loving art and beauty and colour."
Yep, that's about how long.
The above is not 100% original, but it sums up well what has gone into Gayla's mural at Fall Creek.
